Roldo Bartimole has a good article in CoolCleveland about how Dennis Kucinich attracts supporters with a “give ’em what they want” populism. I am always surprised by how popular he is with some of the people I work with. His absolute anti-war stance seems to be the main attraction.
I’m still trying to understand why people keep electing him to the House. I guess it’s the whole image of fighting for the little guy, no matter what the reason. An ability to lead or get things done doesn’t seem to make a difference. Any opinions? One of my coworkers is convinced it’s because of his standing up to CEI and refusing to sell Muni Light, and the vindication that he ended up saving their customers well over $20 million.
